‘No new war on Iraq’: Dozens protest against US possible military intervention
Activists in Washington, DC have gathered for a rally to express their opposition to any possible US military intervention in Iraq. The protesters carried the posters that declared “No new war in Iraq,” “Reparations - not more bombs” and “Enough damage already done”. People waved US and Iraqi flags together.

The demonstrators also carried posters saying, “No to terrorists - No to ISIS,” condemning the violence of Sunni militants in Iraqi provinces.

In its latest major offensive in Iraq, ISIS (the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, or ISIL), has captured several northern and central cities and increased its presence in the Iraqi provinces, closing in on the capital, Baghdad.
