Russia has called for a probe on reports of massive human rights abuse against Kurdish people in south-eastern Turkey. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said any reports about large scale human rights abuse and violations of international humanitarian law must be investigated. He said there are special international procedures to investigate the reports.
The top Russian diplomat also said Turkey’s shelling of Syrian territories is undermining the efforts of the international community to resolve the years-long conflict. Lavrov made the comments in a joint press conference in Moscow with his Egyptian counterpart.
