TEHRAN (FNA)- The
top Emir (leader) of the ISIL terrorist group was killed in the Syrian fighter
jets' combat flight Northeast of Aleppo.
Omar al-Absi (AKA
“Abu al-Athir) was reportedly killed by the Syrian Air Force inside the village
of Touman in al-Bab Plateau.
On Thursday, the
ISIL's offensive on the Syrian army and popular forces in Aleppo backfired and
inflicted a heavy toll on the terrorist group.
"The ISIL
attacked the Aleppo-Khanaser-Ithriya road on Thursday but it was pushed back by
the Syrian army forces and lost 130 members," a military source said.
