The Treason of the Mainstream Media

For those who came of age politically with the Supreme Court's election of George W. Bush, disdain for the mainstream media remains severe. Watching all but a brave handful of the media fall into line to sell the Patriot Act, the War on Terror, and Weapons of Mass destruction has left an open wound. It has also left an entire generation with a keen understanding of how government honchos like Dick Cheney or Barack Obama use the media to spread the leaks they want to spread while decrying all others.

Forgive the personal comparison, but my own loss of virginity came in the early 1960s and was far less dramatic. A former high school journalist with the cherished nickname "Scoop," I slowly came to see The New York Times, our national newspaper of record, systematically ignore much of the civil rights struggle in the South, especially when it involved the more radical Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. I saw the liberal San Francisco Chronicle lead the redbaiting attacks against our Free Speech Movement at Berkeley. And I discovered that my family icon, the American Civil Liberties Union, cared more about the freedom of those who owned presses than of those pressing for social change.

Don't get me wrong. My generation saw the heroic and inspiring as well. We watched CBS anchorman Walter Cronkite question the Vietnam War, however belatedly he dared to do it. We read "The Pentagon Papers" and applauded The New York Times for publishing them. We followed Woodward and Bernstein reporting on Watergate in The Washington Post. We saw the media challenge the power of the FBI and the CIA. We saw the good. We saw the bad. We developed "a balanced view" of the media, and by the time of the War on Terror , most of us did not expect anything better - or anything worse.

How wrong we were! Never in our lifetime has most of the mainstream media sunk as low as their concerted attacks against Julian Assange and WikiLeaks, the whistleblowers Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden, journalist Glenn Greenwald, and the continuing revelations of our country's imperial brutality and global surveillance. Shamelessly, the media giants have further embedded themselves as lickspittles to those in power. Even more treacherous, they have blatantly betrayed the most basic precepts of our profession and put our freedom at risk.

Professor Yochai Benkler provided the details in his testimony at the court-martial of Bradley Manning. The Israeli-born Benkler heads the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School and is a widely cited expert on WikiLeaks and its evolving relationship with the mainstream media. From early 2008, Benkler told the military tribunal, the mainstream media portrayed WikiLeaks in a favorable light as "a new online journalistic organization." Leading media groups went to court to defend it against an injunction from the Swiss investment bank Julius Baer that would have shut it down. Various newspapers publicly praised WikiLeaks for its professionalism and its efforts to verify and authenticate the leaked documents that it published. The highly respected Index on Censorship and Amnesty International both gave WikiLeaks their "New Media Award."

Benkler traced this positive attitude into 2010, the year WikiLeaks and mainstream media partners began publishing the revelations that Bradley Manning admits to leaking. These included the horrifying video of a U.S. Apache helicopter firing down on a Reuters camera team and nearby children in the heart of Baghdad, military logs of the U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and exceedingly frank U.S. diplomatic cables from all over the world.

During this period, relations began to fray as journalists at The New York Times and The Guardian fell out with Assange, who can be an extremely difficult person. But the big change came only after the release of the diplomatic cables, when U.S. government officials turned their big guns on WikiLeaks.

"The response is hard to define as anything but shrill," Benkler testified. Secretary of State Clinton described the release (in Benkler's words) as an attack on the international community. Vice President Biden called Assange a high tech terrorist. Congressman Steve King, the incoming chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, called for Washington to define WikiLeaks as a foreign terrorist organization. Senator Diane Feinstein, chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, called for prosecution under the Espionage Act of 1917. And Senator Joseph Lieberman, chair of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security, called for companies to stop providing services to WikiLeaks.

How did the mainstream media respond? According to Benkler, they joined the government's campaign to delegitimize WikiLeaks. Bob Beckel, on Fox News, called Assange "a traitor" and told the government to illegally shoot the son of a bitch. William Kristol, editor of the neocon flagship The Weekly Standard, called for a serious effort to degrade and destroy WikiLeaks. Tom Friedman, the star columnist of The New York Times, called WikiLeaks a major threat to the world. Bill Keller, the managing editor of the NYT who had profitably published the news that WikiLeaks gave him, now wrote an 8,000 word essay in which he described WikiLeaks as a secretive cabal of anti-secrecy vigilantes and attacked Assange as badly smelling as though he hadn't bathed.

Could the tonal shift have been colder? The government wanted to make Assange and WikiLeaks public enemy number one, and our supposedly independent press freely produced the propaganda that Washington wanted. The Nazi Party's Der Stürmer or the Soviet Union's Pravda and Izvestiya could not have been slimier, more disgusting, or less professional as journalists.

We have now seen similar mainstream media sleaze against the NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden and relative silence on the trial of Bradley Manning. We have also seen personal attacks on journalist Glenn Greenwald, notably from NBC's David Gregory, The Washington Post's Walter Pincus, and even an aging Carl Bernstein, who appears to have made his peace with the dark side.

No doubt, the mainstreamers think they can maintain their access to official newsmakers - and win official protection - by separating themselves from those who are providing real news about the real world. But, as Benkler shows, the government has already announced in Manning's court-martial that they would consider an unauthorized leak to The New York Times exactly the same as one to WikiLeaks. The Obama administration, and no doubt its successors, Democratic or Republican, will treat all unauthorized leaks as providing information to the enemy.

Without leakers, the prime sources on national security scoops, the mainstream media will shrivel. But I'm willing to bet that courageous truth tellers will continue to provide information to Internet sites willing to risk publishing it. That's what journalists do, even if most of the mainstream media would rather grovel for whatever scraps their masters are willing to hand them.

To understand what is going on now, look back at the fall of the Soviet Union. While in retrospect it seems like it happened overnight, at the time it seemed to take forever. First there were strikes at a Polish shipyard and other troubles that went on for months before suddenly the Polish Communist government fell. Then there was similar strife in Germany for what seemed like forever until, overnight, the Berlin wall fell. So it went in spurts and stops until the Soviet Union itself collapsed.

The situation in the West is now similar; governments have fallen in Italy, Spain, Greece, Australia, Japan and elsewhere but the big Kahuna, the corporate government of the United States, is still standing. However, under the surface tension is building and something fundamental is about to give way, possibly in the autumn.

First of all, all the people studying martial arts around the world can be reached by analogue means via Chodoin’s network. His often controversial personal political views are irrelevant to this. What matters is the principle of martial arts to never strike the first blow but to defend yourself vigorously if you have been struck. That blow has been struck. It can now be proven beyond any doubt that a faction within the Western elite has been planning to murder 90% of humanity. This attack is still going on in the form of forced sterilization through vaccines, the release of bio-weapons, attempts to create mass starvation and multiple attempts to start a full scale nuclear war. In order to stop this, if it comes to that point where no other choice is possible, then the martial arts network can use non-digital communications to mobilize a 200 million person army.

Then there is the gnostic illuminati, represented here by Romanov. This group is opposed to rule by bloodlines and claims to have started the French, American and Russian revolutions. Each of these revolutions was characterized by the removal of bloodline rulers. They claim to have been behind the recent riots in places like Turkey and Brazil and also say they were behind the regime change that just took place in Egypt. They wish to end the control of the creation of dollars and euros, and thus the control of world power, by an in-bred, unelected family mafia.

Finally, there is the White Dragon Society. The WDS can only be used for the greater good and not for personal benefit. The WDS recognizes that a fascist coup d’etat in the West has turned Western civilization from something overall benevolent into something parasitical and murderous. It wishes to restore all that was good about Western civilization including democracy, the rule of law, respect for human rights, protection of nature, freedom of information and unhindered scientific progress.

The WDS works in partnership with Asian secret societies in a relationship based on equality, mutual respect and work towards win-win solutions.

All of these groups support the idea of a massive campaign to end poverty, stop environmental destruction and set humanity on a path to exponential expansion into the future.

To this end, these groups will politely but firmly ask the people currently in power in the West to offer their full cooperation or else stand aside and let us do the job.

In order to attain world peace, the planet still faces a few housekeeping problems. In Asia, a return to independence for Okinawa and a reunification of the Korean peninsula is expected to be a condition for lasting regional peace. In the Middle East, the rogue nation of Israel will have to cease its criminal and anti-social behavior. The ancient family feud that split Islam into Sunni and Shia sects will also have to be dealt with. These issues can all be dealt with without a need for war so long as the rest of the planet insists.

Then there is the problem of the rogue outfit, founded in 1871, known as the corporate government of the United States. Right now it is under a collective leadership arrangement using Barak Obama was its spokesperson. This group is also finally making the truth about Obama’s past public.

The reason this criminal is still in power is that the military industrial complex uses him to symbolize the dictatorial powers that they have conveyed on their presidency. There is also the lack of a suitable alternative within the existing Washington D.C. power structure. The military industrial complex is nonetheless promising to work with the WDS as soon as it and its allies get control of the money printing presses. When this happens, all that was good about the Republic of the United States of America (as opposed to the fascist United States of America Corporation now in power) will be restored.

So, the Committee of 300, the families that own the Federal Reserve Board, the unelected management of the United Nations and other leaders of the current governing structures have been put on notice.

They must hand over the process of creating and distributing dollars and Euros in a transparent and public manner to the people of the planet. They must also agree to mobilize existing government and corporate structures for a massive campaign to end poverty, end war and stop environmental destruction. In theory, they have already agreed to help attain these goals. In practice they are doing almost nothing. If negotiations fail over the summer, the autumn will be colored in red.

Last week’s regime change in Egypt reflects a bold geopolitical chess move by Russia’s Vladimir Putin. In response to the US draw down of its forces in Europe and its’ “pivot” to Asia, Putin has moved in force into the Middle East. The end game will mean Russian control over European energy supplies. As a result, the center of Western European power will shift from France and Germany to Russia and Germany. The Germans have already secretly agreed to this. Cabal surrender has now become inevitable. Representatives from the committee of 300, the BIS and the Federal Reserve Board have already indicated they are willing to fork over trillions of dollars to finance a campaign to end poverty and stop environmental destruction. They have also hinted they may do this by cashing some of the untold trillions of dollars’ worth of bonds they issued in exchange of Asian historical treasure, including some of the ones shown in last week’s newsletter. Negotiations on this issue are expected to last through the summer so, no announcement is expected before the Autumn.

However, representatives from the Vatican, the British Royal Family, the Japanese Imperial Family, the Russian government and the Chinese government, among others have all made it clear that no major power group is against the White Dragon Society’s goals. The problems at this point are now more technical and logistical issues of how to make a move from psychological agreement to practical moves on the ground. For example, representatives from the Federal Reserve Board are now saying that the people who issued all of those trillions of dollars’ worth of bonds to the Asians in the 1920’s and 30’s never intended to “bankrupt the US.” Perhaps they thought the Asians did not know the difference between the paper money they burn as offerings to their ancestors and the money they use to buy groceries. The Chinese know the difference and are insisting the people who issued these bonds must pay their full value.

 

The people at the BIS and committee of 300, meanwhile, are threatening to dilute the value of the Asian $trillions or quadrillions by issuing $trillions and quadrillions of their own. Of course, funny numbers aside, it all boils down to a question of power and the White Dragon Society sticks by its view that all the new money to be created must be split 50/50 between East and West and spent on improving the planet. The Asians agree in principle to such a split and will continue upping the pressure on the cabal until a deal is reached, Asian and Western secret society sources promise.

In the meantime, there will be a lot of visible changes in world power structures before any deal is announced. The regime change in Egypt is a clear sign of this. To understand why this is so, it is necessary to look at oil and gas.

As most aware people realize, the war in Syria is financed by Qatar and Saudi Arabia because they want to build a pipeline through Syria to send gas to Western Europe. Russia, which now dominates gas sales to Western Europe, does not want the competition so they are helping Syria fight against the pipeline mercenaries.

Here are a few indications of how the power balance has changed: The governments of France, the UK and Washington D.C. call for a “no-fly zone” in Syria. The Pentagon, Russia and China veto this. The pentagon repeatedly refuses hysterical requests by slave politicians in Washington D.C. to attack Syria. Turkey, which used to actively support the anti-Syrian moves, stopped doing so after a visit from Putin.

And now, Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood was overthrown because he called for armed action against the government of Syria. The new Egyptian government is composed of nationalists along the lines of Abdel Naser. Naser was aligned with the Soviet Union.

So, what about Israel? Here again, fundamental changes are being seen. The Pentagon has made it very clear that, after what happened with 911, they are no longer willing to fight proxy wars for Israel. All the bitching and moaning by bribed politicians in Washington D.C. and propaganda outlets like the New York Times is being ignored by a thoroughly disgusted US military establishment.

Fortunately for Israel, Putin is ready to come to its defense instead. One quarter of the population of Israel, and a third of its Jewish population, is Russian. The New Egyptian government has not made any anti-Israeli moves or statements. Instead, the new enemies in the region are the Salafist, Wahabi and Al Qaeda hate mongers and their Sabattean handlers.

Doubtless there is going to be a lot of turbulence in the region before the new balance of power settles in. The big question, of course, is what is going to happen to the Gulf Cooperation Council and Saudi Arabia. These countries will probably try to pay protection money to the new government in Egypt.

However, they might be wiser to upgrade their embassies in Moscow and Berlin. That might not be enough, though, to stop a payback campaign being planned against the Gulf countries by their many victims.

There may also be trouble outside of the region. Canada, for example, has begun to position itself as an alternative source of oil and gas to the volatile Middle East. This may be why a train carrying oil appears to have been sabotaged at Lake Megantic in Quebec.

Canadian government sources say the Rockefeller family has been financing “environmental activists” opposed to the building of a pipeline that would supply Canadian oil to the US. The Rockefellers were famous in the old says for sabotaging their competition. Let us hope, for their sake, they are not up to their old tricks in this case.

In any case, the entire Rockefeller, Bush, Morgan, Warburg, Rothschild etc. Federal Reserve Board control grid in America is falling apart. While “President” Obama failed to confess to his secret past on July 4th, as predicted by this newsletter’s sources, he is clearly fronting for a failed regime.

Especially revealing are the pictures of him bowing to heads of the foreign regimes like Saudi Arabia, Japan, and China, that are keeping the United States Corporation, (as opposed to the debtless Republic of the United States), from going bankrupt.

Sur ce thème où se sont déchaînées les passions comme sur le mariage gay, de quoi parle t-on ?

Encore une fois, le thème est vaste et surtout mal ou peu délimité.

Embryons et spiritualité

Selon le dictionnaire Flammarion :

« l’embryon est le produit de la conception. Dans l’espèce humaine, l‘embryon devient fœtus au bout du troisième mois. »

Ce qui élimine donc les fœtus, il faut savoir qu’un embryon de deux mois mesure 3 cm.

Les embryons peuvent être morts (résultats de fausses couches) ou vivants, ceux créés artificiellement in vitro, mais cela pose des questions éthiques, car les donneurs devraient avoir donné leur accord avant la production d’un embryon, or je doute que cette option ait été envisagée.

Aujourd’hui le don d’organe est non seulement légal partout dans le monde, mais il est encouragé comme l’est celui du sang. Donner son cœur (lors d’un décès par accident par exemple) ou un rein pour sauver une autre vie, ou son sang pour aider un malade ou un blessé à se maintenir en vie, ou faire don de son corps post mortem à la science, n’a semble t-il soulevé aucune opposition et aujourd’hui ces opérations sont courantes voir spectaculaires !

Se pose t-on des questions sur l’objectif des recherches opérées sur un corps décédé ? L’efficacité de certaines armes chimiques ? Le clonage ? La production de  médicaments controversés mais financièrement bénéfiques ?

Non dira t-on. Ceux sont seulement des recherches médicales qui visent à mieux connaître notre corps ou à tester certains produits …En est on sûr ?

Quelle est donc la différence fondamentale entre un embryon et un corps décédé ?

Le futur donateur a donné librement son corps à la science, alors qu’un embryon ne l’a pas fait ? Alors pourrait-on  répondre, est ce que l‘enfant de trois mois a donné son accord pour être baptisé ? plus tard circoncis ? en encore plus tard travailler comme enfant esclave ? à ma connaissance : non,  et pourtant ils sont bien vivants quand ils y sont soumis.

Ipso facto dans notre société où tout se monnaye se pose évidemment la question du marché. Cet embryon sera-t-il monnayable, ce qui ouvre évidemment la porte aux mêmes types d’abus que ceux pratiqués sur les yeux, le sang, ou tout organe prélevé criminellement, sans le consentement du « donneur » et souvent en lui prenant la vie.

Dans la mesure où la recherche sur l’embryon serait entourée de garanties éthiques, autant sur l’origine de cet embryon et sa circulation que sur les buts de la recherche qui y est pratiquée, il ne peut y avoir à mon sens aucun motif d’opposition, puisque celui-ci servirait justement la vie en découvrant de nouvelles thérapies aux maladies notamment génétiques, voire aux maladies dites « orphelines ».

Quant aux arguments spirituels que certains avancent : « ne pas toucher à la vie » il serait temps de se réveiller, car la manipulation de L’ADN des plantes comme de celui des animaux  se pratique déjà depuis bien longtemps, avec les avancées et les désastres que l’on connaît. Ils sont aussi la vie, et nous nous en nourissons.

Une fois décédé, l’âme quitte notre corps, celui-ci n‘étant qu’un véhicule terrestre, il en est de même pour un embryon en supposant que l’âme l’ait  intégré dès la conception. Quant à faire des expériences sur un embryon vivant, in vitro, si la loi en arrivait là, ne connaissant pas les conséquences douloureuses que cela pourrait impliquer sur cet embryon, il me semble peu recommandable d’en légaliser la pratique.

Finalement, la question n’est pas pour ou contre « la recherche sur l’embryon » mais plutôt « comment ? » ce qui étayerait  la réflexion pour lui apporter une réponse circonstanciée.

Dans notre société « primitive » ou la conscience est encore peu évoluée, mais va plutôt dans ce sens, où tout est susceptible de se monnayer ou le fait  déjà : un embryon comme un enfant, une femme comme une nation entière, où la Science a remplacé Dieu et de ce fait l’homme y a perdu ses repères, la vraie question que chacun devrait se poser et qui pourrait résoudre nombre de dilemmes serait plutôt :

Qui sommes nous vraiment ? Que cherchons-nous ? Où allons nous ? Et comment s’y rendre ?

Et c’est bien là le gigantesque challenge que l’humanité traverse en ce moment, en passant d’une civilisation qui vit selon des règles mentalisées et donc faussées plutôt qu’à partir d’une intelligence bien plus puissante et surtout infaillible celle du cœur ? C'est-à-dire ne vous en déplaise l’intelligence de l’Amour.
