French police teargas striking train workers in Paris

French riot police fired teargas Tuesday at protesting workers who are outraged by a bill to reform the state-run railway system. Several hundred workers staged a protest near the National Assembly on Paris’ Left Bank, firing flares and throwing bottles. The nationwide strike began last Wednesday and caused one of the worst disruptions to France’s rail network.
